Whichever Ninja air fryer UK model you own, regular cleaning keeps it working well and stops old grease from smoking. The steps below apply to most Ninja basket and drawer models. CRISPi glass models have their own notes at the end.
Still choosing a model? Our best Ninja air fryer UK comparison covers the current range, and the parts and accessories section lists liners and racks.
The CRISPi uses glass containers instead of a drawer. Let the glass cool before washing, as sudden temperature changes can stress glass, and wipe the cooking pod with a damp cloth only.
Reusable silicone liners or parchment liners catch drips and cut down on scrubbing. Choose liners sized for your model and leave room for air to circulate. For example, there are silicone liners for the AF300UK and AF400UK and liners for the Double Stack SL300UK and SL400UK. These are third-party products, not made by Ninja.
On many models, yes, but check your manual. Hand washing with a soft sponge is gentler on the coating.
Often it’s old grease in the drawer or fat from high-fat foods. Emptying and cleaning the drawer after each use usually helps.
A quick clean after every use, and a deeper clean every few weeks or whenever you notice build-up, suits most households.
